A large population amounts to a shift in demographics, and subsequently the social system of North America started to change stepwise in order to adapt to the sassy baby sweep through generation. As a result of a new economic affluence in the continent, North American society became materialistic and consumerism seized a big get down of the economy (Owram 309).
